Abstract
1,200,406. Gas burner. JUNKERS & CO. G.m.b.H. 26 Aug., 1968 [25 Aug., 1967], No. 40669/68. Heading F4T. To reduce corrosion around the main burner openings 11 disposed along a ridge 14 on a gas burner distribution manifold 13 which has longitudinal depressions 17 in each of its side walls 16 which, in co-operation with cover strips 19 and 20 attached to the side walls 16 and abutting the sides of the ridge 14, form auxiliary gas chambers 21 into which gas from the manifold flows via bores at position 18 and burns on exiting from auxiliary openings 22 in the cover strips, the cover strips are made of a material (such as chrome steel) which has higher thermal conductivity than the manifold-material (chrome nickel steel) so that heat is conducted away from the ridge 14.
