Abstract

1,111,790. Gas burners. FURIGAS N.V. 10 Jan., 1967 [29 July, 1966], No. 1308/67. Heading F4T. A gas burner comprises one or more rectangular cross-sectioned pipes 2 closed at ends 5 and 6 and supplied with a gas/air mixture through tube 1, and burner bars 3 of rectangular cross-section formed of metal strip stainless steel and having parallel equally spaced burner slots 4 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the bars. The slots 4 are formed in a narrow face of the bars and the opposite face is closed by welding at 10 the edges of the metal strip. The bars have recesses through which the pipe 2 passes and in the region of these recesses V-shaped baffles 8. The end of the pipe 2 opposite to tube 1 has a baffle to reduce its cross-sectional area and obtain equal pressure throughout the length of the pipe.
