852,851. Metallic fabrics. DICKINS, G. W., and RUDZKI, A. March 13, 1959 [March 13, 1958], No. 8016/58. Class 45. [Also in Groups X and XXII] Open type metal flooring comprises intersecting main bars 7 and cross bars 8 having interengaging notches at the intersections, the cross bars 8 being mechanically interlocked with the main bars 7 by displacing the mouth 13 of the notch in the main bars over the top edges of the cross bars. The operation may be carried out in a press having one or more concave headed chisels 14, Fig. 5, to form one or more interlocked connections. Opposite ends of the flooring may be closed by end bars 18, Fig. 2, having slots engaged by riveted over tongues 19 on the ends of the main bars 7.
