Abstract
887,352. Textile combing-machines and gillboxes. BRONZINI, F. Feb. 3, 1960, No. 3808/60. Drawings to Specification. Class 120(1) [Also in Group XXII] In the assembly of a gill-bar or faller or comb bar, the needles, pins or teeth are introduced laterally into a succession of seats provided along one or both flanks of the bar and the material of the bar is compressed e.g. by a roller, to deform the borders of the seats and thereby secure the needles therein. Prior to such compression, the bar may be placed on a magnetic plate to hold the needles &c. in position and thus facilitate alignment of their points. The needles &c. may be further secured by soldering or welding.
