Abstract

991,423. Shuttering for casting walls. WESTCON ENGINEERING & CONTRACTORS Ltd. April 30, 1962, No. 16389/62. Heading E1S. Ties 3 for spacing forms 1 for casting walls have weakening notches 9 inside the forms and sufficient play between the ties and the apertures 6 in the forms through which they pass to permit the ends of the tie rods being broken off without removing the forms, the ties being secured by bars 8 engaged in apertures 7 in the end of the ties. Lugs 10 in the ties anchor in the concrete and hold the forms apart before casting. A notch 12 in the end of the tie is adapted to be engaged by a claw hammer 15 for pulling the tie through the apertures 6 or removing the broken end.
