990,507. Roofing. SVENSKA INCOPALFABRIKEN A.B. Dec. 11, 1963 [Dec. 15, 1962], No. 48900/63. Heading E1V. A concrete roof slab 10 or 20 is surmounted by a pre-cast, 22<SP>1</SP> or cast in-situ, 12, layer of porous concrete including sub-graded grains of expanded burnt clay, and a top layer of roll roofing glued at intervals to the porous concrete layer. The pre-cast slabs 22<SP>1</SP> may be rebated as shown (Fig. 4) or be formed with V-shaped edges for the inter-engagement of adjacent slabs, and a loose layer of expanded burnt clay may be placed under the porous concrete layer. In another embodiment described, the pre-cast slabs of porous concrete may be spaced apart, with the space between filled with a loose layer of expanded burnt clay, the roll roofing being glued to the pre-cast slabs.
