Abstract
1360877 Cast in situ roof or ceiling structures H KEEBLE 19 Oct 1972 [21 Oct 1971] 48981/ 71 Addition to 1257923 Heading E1W Cast in situ aerated concrete or concrete wth a lightweight aggregate is cast over a roof deck or slab 3. Porous clay blocks 1 are then positioned on the cast concrete with through bores 1a aligned and in communication with one another. Further concrete is then cast over the blocks 1 directly or with the interposition of a porous paper membrane 5. Alternatively an asphalt or waterproof felt layer is applied directly to the blocks 1, the further concrete layer being omitted. The blocks are positioned such that circulation of air may be achieved through the bores la to facilitate drying of the concrete 2, 4.
