990,150. Cartons. BRADFORD SPEED PACKAGING and DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Dec. 31, 1963 [Jan. 11, 1963], No. 51288/63. Heading B8P. A paperboard box lined on the inside with a coating of a heat-sealable thermoplastic adhesive has corner gussets locked to the inside of the box walls by lock tabs cut from the stock of the box walls. This construction enables the box to be assembled and filled while the side walls are not quite in their final upright positions and the final positions to be achieved when the flaps 22, 23, 26 on the lid are adhered to the box walls by heat and pressure. The corner gussets 44 are secured by T-shaped tabs 52 cut from each side wall 16, 17 which are drawn towards the inside of the box until the T-shaped tabs have passed through the folded gusset portions and lock against the inside walls of the gussets.
