Abstract

989,834. Wall-plugs. KONSOLEN-HANDELS G.m.b.H. Sept. 3, 1963 [Sept. 10, 1962], No. 34712/63. Heading F2H. A screw and wall-plug combination comprises a screw (not shown), together with a nut 1, Fig. 3, and a sleeve 2, Fig. 4, having interdigitating teeth 1a, 1b, 1c and 2a, 2b with bevelled ends 5 opposed to complementarilybevelled webs 6 between the opposing teeth. When the screw is tightened and the nut moves from the screw end towards the sleeve 2 and screw head, the bevelled portions 5, 6 start the teeth bowing out towards and into the wall of the hole and this is completed by the inner surfaces 9 of the teeth riding on the webs 6.
