Abstract

932,693. Bolt anchors. BECORIT GRUBENAUSBAU G.m.b.H. Nov. 5, 1959 [Nov. 6, 1958], No. 37498/59. Class 89 (1). An anchor bolt comprises an expanding sleeve 2 having two slots and engaged by an expander element 9, 10, 11 having parts of increasing taper towards the inner end. The expander element is formed on the screwed rod 1 and is of oval section, the taper varying towards the inner end from 4 to 0 to 8 degrees on the broad sides of the sections and from 12 to 8 to 12 degrees on the narrow sides. Projections 5 on the rod engage the slotted sleeve and by inserting the rod well into a borehole, the projections may be engaged with the end of the sleeve to extract it.
