Abstract

989,833. Brassieres. HESTIA BRASSIERE CO. PTY. Ltd. Aug. 19, 1963, No. 32682/63. Heading A3V. [Also in Division E2] A resiliently expansible detachable back section of a foundation garment is secured at its ends by fastening means, at least one of the fastening means includes a flat buckle of resiliently flexible sheet material provided with a hook-like part' engaging a sleeve-like loop of soft material such that the hook-like part and the loop extend transversely to the direction of tension in the back section. An elastic back section 10 and the ends 11, 12 of a brassiere have loops 14, 15 which are secured to a closed loop 19 and open loop 20 of buckles 13. Alternatively one fastening may comprise a hook and eye fastening.
