Abstract
987,646. Cylinder heads for I.C. engines. TATRA NARODNI PODNIK. Jan. 17, 1962 [Jan. 18, 1961 No. 1780/62. Heading F1B. An air cooled cylinder head for a direct injection engine comprises a plate 1 with a recess therein bounded by side walls 4 defining a substantially conical trough containing auxiliary cooling liquid such as lubricating oil, the upper end of the trough merging into a substantially rectangular frame 5 receiving the clamping bolts. A fuel injector seating boss 6 is connected to the side walls 4 by pins 8 which transmit heat to cooling oil which collects in the trough up to the level of an overflow aperture 9.
