987,376. Potato planting machines. AGROSTROJ NARODNI PODNIK. May 16, 1963 [May 17, 1962 (2); June 26, 1962 (5)], No. 19532/63. Heading A1D. A potato planting machine intended particularly for work on sloping ground comprises a travelling wheel 6 placed below the central part of a two row planting unit, the travelling wheel being steerable and provided with a guiding flange 7. As shown the wheel is mounted on a bent axle 9 and is steered by a lever 13 connected to a member 12. The potato planting mechanism is mounted on a shaft 5 which is driven from a shaft 17 connected to the wheel 6. A frame may be provided to join two planters together side by side. The single planters may be attached to a tractor linkage, and to enable the rear of the planters to be supported a framework may be attached to the rear, containing a pair of wheels.
