986,567. Litters. UNION BAG-CAMP PAPER CORPORATION. Nov. 6, 1963 [Nov. 8, 1962], No. 43866/63. Heading A5X. A foldable litter comprises a one-piece sheet 10 of semi-rigid material formed of compressed fibreboard which resists penetration by moisture, which sheet is divided into an elongated centre panel 12 and head and feet panels 14 and 16 hinged to the centre panel by fold lines 18 and 20, whereby the said head and feet panels can be folded over to lie parallel to the centre panel. The centre panel may have hand-hold apertures 22. The head or foot panel may include an integral tab, e.g. 26, for engaging the end extremity of the other of said panels when the litter is folded. The centre panel may have a fold midway along its length and the head panel may have side flaps 34, 36. The panels may have straps 48, 52 for holding the patient down. The panels may have inturned marginal edges reinforced with tape, along their longitudinal edges. The fibreboard may be coated with nitrocellulose.
