999,002. Tampans. V. KOBLER, and W. KOBLER, [trading as KOBLER & CO.]. Nov. 15, 1961 [Nov. 16, 1960], No. 40942/61. Heading A5R. [Also in Division B8]. A tampan 1 has a flexible wrapper 3 part of which extends beyond the tampan and is folded back along one side of the tampan, securing means 5 around the wrapper and the folded back portion and a string 2 having an end protruding from the securing means to assist in removing the wrapper from the tampan. The wrapper, comprising a soft moisture-repellent sheet, is folded around the tampan so that it is open at one end. A withdrawal cord 2 projects through the open end and is folded back along the tampan with the wrapper portion extending beyond the tampan. A band 5 of tearable or elastic material secures the cord and the folded back portion of the wrapper to the tampan. Tampans may be laid in a box 7 having a partition 9 with slots 8 through which the wrapper extensions and the cords are passed to hold the wrappers closed.
