985,664. Core constructions for dynamoelectric machines. SHINKO ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. March 30, 1961, No. 11618/61. Heading H2A. A stator core for a D.C. machine comprises a non-laminated outer cylinder 11 and a thinner laminated inner member 14 or 54. The laminations of the inner member may be radially disposed, Fig. 1, in which case they may comprise a one-piece cylinder or several arcuate members butt-welded together, preferably under the poles. The poles may be integral with the ring 14 (Fig. 4, not shown). In Fig. 3, the laminations are bent round circumferentially to form a helix 54. Specification 985,665 is referred to.
