In a collapsible covered frame having horizontal collapsible lazy tongs 27, 28 and vertical collapsible lazy tongs 12 connected between two vertical posts 10, 11, the means by which at least one of the two upper and lower lazy tongs mechanisms 27, 28 are attached to the end posts permit adjustment in distance therebetween and comprises a pivot 37 having a screw thread 39 and a polygonal end 40 to adjust the link 35 in respect to the post 11 to obtain the necessary tension for the curtain covering which is hung from projections 38 on the upper and lower sides respectively of the links of the lazy tongs 27, 28. One of the posts, e.g. 10, is secured to a wall 41 so that the collapsible structure may pivot in the direction of arrows B, C, on hinges 42, such hinge may be of the rising hinge type, as shown in Fig. 12, so that from intermediate positions the structure will always return under gravity to its normal position, but at its end positions the flat portions 59, 60, of the co-operating hinge parts coact to retain the structure in those positions. In addition to pivoting, when used as a door closure the structure can collapse or extend.
