[Also in Division B8] An agricultural harvesting machine incorporating a baling device includes a pick-up device 7, the position of which is vertically adjustable relative to the ground and a feeder device 19 for feeding material to the baling device, said feeder device 19 being mounted on a movable support linked with the pick-up device 7 through one or more rigid coupling bars 34 so as to maintain the distance between these two devices at a substantially constant value. The machine comprises also a compression channel 2, a main feed member (not detailed) having a path of operation 4, the pick-up device 7 and the feeder device 19. The pick-up device operated by means not described, comprises rakes 16 mounted on chains 17, the rakes following a path 18. The feeder device 19 consists of spikes 27, supported by arms 20, which are connected to the machine shaft 3 through crank arms 21, shafts 22, gears 24, 26 and chains 25. The spikes follow a path 31. The height of the pick-up device from the ground is adjusted by a lever 11 pivoted on a shaft 10 and coupled at 13 by a bar 12 to the baler 1. In operation, to maintain the paths 18 and 31 at a constant distance apart, the feeder device 19 and pick-up device 7 are coupled together by bars 34, pivotally connected at 36 and 35 on to the respective devices. The effective length of the bar 34 may be adjusted by means of an aperture 37.
