A system for indicating the elapsed equivalent operating time of a turbine engine, i.e. the elapsed operating time weighted to reflect the effect on the operating life due to temperature variation of the engine, comprises a circuit integrating with respect to time signals which are function of engine temperature and rate of consumption of maximum operating life of the engine. A servomotor feeds signals derived from engine thermocouples or resistance thermometers to a potentiometer whose resistance curve is a function of the rate of consumption of maximum operating life of the engine with respect to temperature. The integration may be effected by a motor having a speed control circuit associated with a tachometer, a difference detector, a feedback amplifier and a counter.
