Abstract

911,382. Electric correspondence control systems. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Feb. 15, 1961 [May 23, 1960], No. 5614/61. Class 40 (1). The quantity of fuel fed to a turboprop engine is controlled in accordance with the turbine air inlet temperature, measured by a thermocouple 60. The temperature signal is compared at 62 with a stabilized, predetermined value, the difference being amplified at 68, 70, 72 to energize motor 48 controlling the by-pass valve of a fuel pump 24. If required, the setting of valve 40 may be locked by a brake 56, which is, however, released if the temperature exceeds a predetermined value. A rate feedback signal is obtained from tachogenerator 50. Specification 808,920 is referred to.
