Abstract

904,437. Temperature measurement. RHEOSTATIC CO. Ltd. July 6, 1959 [July 10, 1958], No. 22232/58. Class 40 (1). [Also in Group XXXV] The output of an A.C. energized bridge, which includes a temperature-responsive resistor 1, is amplified by a pair of transistors and, via a matching transformer 10 energizes windings 11, 12 on a balanced relay 13. Two opposed windings 14, 15 are energized from the same A.C. source as the bridge so that the relay 13 is actuated in accordance with the relative phases of the bridge output and the reference. The relay 13 controls a reversible servomotor 22 to rebalance the bridge and to correct the temperature being measured by resistor 1. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the matching transformer is omitted.
