Abstract

1,079,917. Transistor amplifier circuits. BILLMAN REGULATOR A.B. Oct. 22, 1964 [Oct. 28, 1963], No. 43083/64. Heading H3T. [Also in Division G1] An A.C.-energized resistance bridge for measuring temperature utilizes a thermistor Th in one arm of the bridge, and the unbalance diagonal is connected to the emitters of two complementary transistors T1, T2 having opposed windings N1, N2 of a transformer TR in the collector circuits. When the bridge is balanced, the collector currents are equal and opposite and there is no signal from output winding N3. When the bridge is unbalanced, each transistor is blocked in alternate halfcycles to give an output signal indicative of the temperature.
