In a bridge type oscillator, in which one arm of the bridge comprises a temperature-sensitive voltage regulating resistor 3, the effects of variations in the ambient temperature are compensated by connecting a further temperature sensitive resistor 4 in shunt with the bridge. The output impedance of the maintaining amplifier 1 is, if necessary, increased by provision of a series resistor 5 which may also be of the temperature sensitive type, in which case resistor 4 may be omitted.
