Abstract

984,678. Transistor oscillators. GENERAL PRECISION Inc. March 16, 1961 [March 18, 1960], No. 9689/61. Heading H3T. A squarewave oscillator comprises two reciprocally coupled transistors T1, T2, one of the cross-coupling paths including a crystal 12; a potential divider, connected across a reference potential, comprising resistors 17, 11, 18, the tapping points on the potential divider being connected to the collector of transistor T2 and the emitter of collector T1 respectively; and a further resistor 20, which may be by-passed by capacitor 21, connected between the emitter of transistor T2 and the pole of the reference potential to which resistor 18 is connected. As described, a second potential divider 14, 15 has its tapping point connected to the base of transistor T1 and a sinewave output may be obtained from 28 by adding a parallel tuned circuit 25, 26.
