[Also in Divisions H1 and H2] The cooling fluid in a transformer tank 5 passes also through an electrically conducting tube 7, into which rectifier elements are screwed (see Divisions H1 and H2) and through a pump 18 and conventional water-cooled heat-exchanger 17. The tube 7 may be constricted adjacent to the rectifier elements to increase the coolant flow rate; this may be done by a streamlined cylindrical insert in the tube (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown).
