Abstract

980,295. Waistbands and pockets. R. S. MORTON. Dec. 6, 1963 [July 26, 1963], No. 29840/63. Heading A3V. A pair of trousers, shorts or slacks comprises a waistband made of fabric having elastic properties and a pocket constructed and so secured at the waist that the trousers are elastic in a direction parallel to the waistline. The waistband 2 is cut on the cross of the material and is sewn with a stretch-thread to an inner band 5 made of elastic material. Pockets 6, 8 and 9 have elastic material at the upper portion 12 secured to the waistband. The trousers may be made from a stretch fabric and the pockets may be made wholly of elastic material.
