734,894. Trouser waistbands. ETABLISSEMENTS YVES LE COTTIER & CO. June 1, 1953 [June 4, 1952], No. 15179/53. Class 141. A pair of trousers is provided with an elastic tight-fitting waist portion comprising an upper part and a lower part for elastically encircling the waist and the pelvis of the wearer. respectively, the tensile strength of the upper part being greater than that of the lower part. As shown, an upper elastic band 7 is sewn at its lower edge 12 to the top edge of the trousers 1 and a lower elastic band 10 at its top edge at 13 just below the stitching 12 and hangs within the trousers. In an alternative construction, the upper and lower bands 7, 10 may be connected by a thin strap and a single line of stitching provided.
