Abstract
974,266. Combustion chambers of fuelinjection engines. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. Oct. 23, 1963 [Nov. 7, 1962], No. 41899/63. Heading FIB. The fuel jets are directed against sheet-metal plates 7 situated in front of the wall of a combustion chamber 1 formed in the piston. The plates 7 are carried by a ring 8 cast-in with the metal of the piston, the ring having tabs 9 or perforations in the part within the piston.
