970,303. Relays. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. July 10, 1961 [July 28, 1960], No. 26335/60. Heading H2B. That surface of polepiece 13 which is engageable by armature 5 is made coplanar with the outer surface of a yoke 3 by adjusting a cranked pin 17, which is rotatably mounted in a hole provided in one end of the yoke and a hole provided in the polepiece, said pin being locked in position by means such as a grub screw 16. As shown, the polepiece is clamped to the core 2 by a nut 14 and washer 15 on the grub screw. The armature 5 is pivotally retained on the yoke by a spring 6, having a member 7 engaging a groove in the underside of the yoke, and arms 9 engaging a groove 12 formed in the armature.
