Abstract

The invention comprises non-toxic, pharmaceutically-acceptable acid addition salts of compounds of the general formula <FORM:0969851/C1/1> (wherein R1 and R2, which may be the same or different, represent alkyl radicals of not more than four carbon atoms and n is 2 or 3), pharmaceutical preparations containing them, and their preparation by heating a compound of the formula <FORM:0969851/C1/2> or an acid addition salt thereof, with a compound of the formula: <FORM:0969851/C1/3> (wherein Alk represents an alkyl radical of not more than six carbon atoms), or an acid addition salt thereof and, if necessary, converting the compound so obtained into a non-toxic, pharmaceutically-acceptabl acid addition salt. The compounds of the invention possess hypotensive properties and may be administered orally or parenterally in the form of pharmaceutical preparations (e.g. tablets, capsules, pills, dispersible powders, granules, emulsions, suspensions, syrups, elixirs and sterile aqueous or non-aqueous solutions, suspensions and emulsions) containing them in admixture with an inert diluent or carrier. According to the Provisional Specification, n may represent 2 to 5.
