Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0890076/IV (b)/1> (wherein R is a phenyl radical optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms or alkyl radicals of not more than four carbon atoms), the preparation thereof by oxidising a compound of the general formula <FORM:0890076/IV (b)/2> or a salt thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions containing the products (see Group VI). Specification 845,378 is referred to.ALSO:Pharmaceutical compositions for oral use comprise a compound of the general formula <FORM:0890076/VI/1> (wherein R is a phenyl radical optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms or alkyl radicals of not more than four carbon atoms) as active ingredient in admixture with a non-toxic diluent or carrier therefor. They are effective when administered orally, for example, in the form of powders, tablets or suspensions in liquid media. Specification 845,378 is referred to.
