Abstract
A dry, stable, disinfectant and detergent composition comprises a mixture of dichloroisocyanuric acid or its sodium salt, an alkali metal bromide or an organic bromo compound capable of releasing bromine in aqueous solution in the presence of organic material, e.g. dibromodimethyl-hydantoin, or a mixture thereof, a buffering mixture of sodium carbonate and bicarbonate, phosphates, polyphosphates and a surface active agent, e.g. sodium lauryl sulphate. Specification 781,708 is referred to.ALSO:A dry, stable disinfectant composition consists essentially of a dry mixture of dichloroisocyanuric acid or its sodium salt, an alkali metal bromide and a buffering mixture of sodium carbonate and bicarbonate. The alkali metal bromide may be wholly or partially replaced by an organic bromo compound capable of releasing bromine in aqueous solution in the presence of organic material, e.g. dibromodimethylhydantoin. Phosphates, polyphosphates and a surface active agent such as sodium lauryl sulphate may be present so that solutions of the composition may have detergent properties. Specification 781,708 is referred to.
