Abstract

968,606. Flame desurfacing. KNAPSACKGRIESHEIM A.G. April 12, 1962 [April 12, 1961], No. 14189/62. Heading B3V. In a flame desurfacing device, compressed air or gas for discharging an adjuvant iron powder is supplied to the nozzle 1 through a plurality of tubes 2 connected to a manifold 4 incorporating valve means 5 which closes off the tubes for regulating the width of the powder stream issuing from the nozzle. Each tube 2 communicates with three nozzle channels 3. Piston valve 5 has an actuating rod 6 co-operating with a scale giving the width of the powder stream. Specification 968,605 is referred to.
