An arrangement for connecting electric cables to a bus-bar distribution system comprises a saddle-shaped member 25 straddling the busbars and bolted to lugs such as 21a, 22a on straps 21, 22 secured to the bus-bar supports 16, 17, the saddle 25 carrying an insulating cable anchor moulding 26 and a cover 28. The sides of cover 28 are contiguous with the overhanging sides of the saddle 25, forming a single surface to which a cable box 29 with an end or lateral cable entry 29a, may be secured in one or more different angular positions coplanar wit the vertical sides of the bus-bar supports 16, 17. The saddle 25 may be located on the upper or lower side of the bus-bars and the cable box 29 may be located on either side of the cover 28 or two cable boxes may be fitted one on either side of the cover 28. The cables 36, Fig. 6, having cable lugs 36a, are each connected by an L- shaped riser 30, which passes through a slot 26a in the cable anchor moulding, to a bored portion of a bus-bar, e.g. 11, the riser 30 being secured to the lug 36a by bolt 34 and nuts 35 and 37 which also secure it to the cable anchor moulding 26. A clamp 31 which secures the riser 30 to the bus-bar is partially enclosed by a rubber shroud 33 having slots in two opposite walls to accommodate the bus-bar.
