Abstract

1,158,892. Transformers. YORKSHIRE ELECTRICITY BOARD. 7 Feb., 1967 [30 March, 1966],No. 14005/66. Heading HIT. The fuses 4 and output connections 5 associated with a transformer 1 are mounted on the outside of the transformer tank 2 on a fuseboard combined with the tank, while the bus-bars 8 are mounted on the inside of the tank. The bus-bar connections pass through the wall of the tank via bushings 7 to link with the fuses which may be under a waterproof cover 12 with access doors. Distribution cables 9 pass through cable glands supported by bracket 11. The fuse board includes a row of isolating switches 3 and neutral links 5. In an alternative arrangement (Fig. 3, not shown) the fuses are mounted in a composite plate (13) separate from the tank wall. In this case similar composite plates are used for mounting the neutral links and isolating switches.
