Abstract
964,666. Binding posts. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. July 10, 1963 [July 11, 1962], No. 27281/63. Heading H2E. A clamp for an insulated conductor 7 comprises two resilient longitudinal blades 3, adjacent edges of which bite through the insulation and make electrical contact with the inner core as the insulated conductor is pressed vertically down between them. The blades are of stainless steel and may be screwed or riveted at their lower ends 4 and 5 to two adjacent faces of a steel bar 1 which may be of square crosssection and which has a groove 8 to accommodate the insulated conductor. The upper parts 11 of the blades are shaped to facilitate insertion of the conductor.
