The chassis of a rear engined " Go-kart " or a child's pedal car comprises a central longitudinal member 1 arched upwardly at its centre or forwardly thereof, a front axle 2, and a fork-shaped member 4 carrying the rear axle 5 and upon which is mounted the engine and the driver's seat (neither shown). The longitudinal member 1 consists of a single tube or may comprise two parallel tubes or rods joined by transverse connecting pieces and bent outwardly at the rear to form the fork-shaped member 4. Stub axles 7 pivotally mounted on the front axle 2 are linked to a steering spindle 10 passing through the longitudinal member 1 at or near its highest point. A spindle 16 supported in bushes 15 on the longitudinal member 1 carries an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal or pedal cranks 17. The ends of the fork-shaped member 4 may be connected by a cross-member.
