[Also in Division B5] Articles of furniture, e.g. seats and beds of synthetic plastic material such as polyester resin, comprising two superimposed layers 1, 2 of glass fibre reinforced synthetic plastics material and an intermediate layer 3 of a light weight core, e.g. a paper honeycomb or a hand foam core, have the two layers 1, 2 connected together only in the region of the edges and the feet of the articles. A bed is shown with layers 1, 2 connected around peripheral flanged edges 4, 5 and the lower end of the feet. The feet are formed from trumpet shaped projection 1<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>1</SP> closed at their ends by rubber plugs
