Abstract

939,343. Seats; upholstery. SLUMBERLAND GROUP Ltd. May 4, 1961 [Feb. 10, 1960; March 18, 1960], Nos. 4642/60 and 9595/60. Classes 52 (2) and 52 (4). In a car seat wire mesh reinforcement 12 is connected to the frame 10 by short tension springs 13 and the frame is placed in a mould and flexible plastic foam such as of polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride or polystyrene is formed over the whole of the frame except the supporting legs 11. The mesh 12 may be bare wire or be covered with polyvinyl chloride and a cover of synthetic plastic may be fitted over the seat after forming by vacuum moulding.
