[Also in Groups I and V] A tub comprises a basic shell a of thermoplastic material b, e.g. polymethacrylic acid ester and superimposed thereon several layers, e.g. b1, b2, of fibre-reinforced synthetic resin, which may be of different thicknesses (Fig. 1). At the inlets or outlets, e.g. c, there may also be several layers of fibre glass matting d, d1 similarly bonded. The basic shape a may be further covered by foamed synthetic resin f (Fig. 4), secured by a layer g of another foamed synthetic resin material, e.g. polyurethane, foamed in situ.
