[Also in Division E1] A cold store is made up of frame members, beams and panels comprising heat insulation disposed between inner and outer metal or polymerized plastic sheets held together by spaced bracing elements made of polymerized plastic. As shown in Fig. 1, a frame member consists of insulation 15 of cork composition disposed between inner and outer metal sheets 11, 12 having flanges to which are secured as by riveting pieces of moulded plastic 16 reinforced by bias-cut glass cloth and incorporating metal strips where the rivets are applied. If the member is to be vertical it has a lower portion similarly formed but of smaller cross-section to take into the floor. The inner and outer sheets 37, 38 of wall or roof panels 39 (Fig. 8), are braced by pieces 43 of reinforced plastic riveted to the sheets and metal strips 78. The pieces 43 may be inclined to or perpendicular to the sheets. These pieces are used both within the insulation and at some edges of the panels. At a door opening, Fig. 8, the sheets 37, 38 are extended to embrace a frame member 70 similar to that of Fig. 1. The ends of the sheets 37, 38 are sealed at 68 to inner and outer reinforcements 72, 71 of the member 70 which carries on its free end removable door surrounds 73. As shown in Fig. 7, frame member 11, 12 joins two wall panels the extensions of the sheets 37, 38 of which are sealed together at 68 and riveted to the sheets 11, 12. A vertical corner frame member consists of outer and inner angle sheets 56, 59 separated by insulation and connected by plastic pieces 62, 63 similar to pieces 16. Sheets 37, 38 are riveted to sheets 59, 56 and inner and outer corner reinforcements 66, 67 and seals 68 are provided. A similar arrangement is used between walls and roof. As shown in Fig. 10, a roof panel includes a beam similar to frame member 11, 12 but having internal upper and lower plates 82, 74 to which are attached a suspension beam 80 and suspension hooks 83 for goods or rails 84. According to the first Provisional Specification, the inner and outer sheets may be secured together by lacing metal wire or nylon cord through holes in their flanges.
