Abstract

1,036,638. Framed building structures. PRESTRESSED & REINFORCED CONCRETE ENGINEERING Ltd. Dec. 4, 1964 [Sept. 5, 1963], No. 35192/63. Heading E1V. A panel 11 is applied to each aperture of a framework formed by framework components 14, 15, each panel comprising at least a concrete frame 12 which fits within and is shear- and tension-resistantly united to the framework components 14, 15. The panel frame 12 has recesses 13 within which studs 16 projecting from the framework components 14, 15 are bonded by concrete filling. A floor 17 is also bonded with the frame panel 12. The panel may have a central opening, as shown, or may be completely closed, or may be a plain flat panel wholly fitting within the framework components 14, 15, Fig. 7, not shown, in which case the panel frame is constituted by the periphery of the panel. The floor 17 may extend beneath the panel frame, Figs. 5 and 7 (not shown). The framework components 14, 15 may be formed of steel or may be wholly or partly of concrete.
