Abstract

1328537 Mounting facade slabs A DRAGUET 11 Sept 1970 [12 Sept 1969] 43686/70 Addition to 1251196 Heading E1W Facade slabs 2 are mounted on a wall or partition 1 using a two part device 6 including a vertically-slotted, generally hairpin-shaped part 11 to which is fixed a threaded rod 7 carrying an angled plate 22 with projections 25, 26 entering blind holes 27 in the upper and lower, or side edges of the slabs. The rod 7 may be threaded into a nut welded to part 11, or the plate 22 may have a nut (28'), Fig. 3 (not shown) welded thereto, which nut is threaded on to rod 7. The anchorage bolt may be fixed in a sheath 3, expanded by a core 4 when driven into the concrete. A reinforcing member 17 is inserted in the top of part 11, and bearing lugs e.g. (19) or (20), Fig. 10 (not shown), can be provided at the top and/or bottom of part 11. The projections can by pins (as shown) or bent-up tabs or corners, Figs. 13, 12 (not shown).
