961,093. Phase shifting. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. May 27, 1963 [June 22, 1962], No. 24144/62. Heading H2F. A variable phase shifting circuit comprises a centre tapped winding 3 which serves as the input to the circuit and whose ends are connected across a potentiometer 4 having a fixed and an adjustable tapping point 5, 6 and also across a series combination of resistor 7 and reactor, such as capacitor 8, and the junction of the series combination 7, 8 is connected to the fixed tapping point 5. The winding 3 is the secondary of transformer 1 and the circuit output is obtained between the centre tap of winding 3 and the adjustable tapping point 4.
