Abstract
961,006. Reinforced concrete. HEILMANN & LITTMANN BAU A. G. April 4, 1963, No. 13394/63. Heading E1V. Cold drawn pre-stressing wires 1 for a reinforced concrete structural member B are longitudinally corrugated at their ends and are symmetrically arranged round a correspondingly corrrugated tension bolt 2, the wires are secured by a cast concrete body 4 surrounded by a sleeve 3. The sleeve 3 is preferably of coiled wire and may have a barrel or cylindrical form. The tension bolt 2 is threaded to engage with a turnbuckle 8 for connection with stressing means and is held by a nut 10 and plate 9 while mortar is pressed through holes 15 to fill the space 6 which may be defined by a parallel or corrugated sleeve 5.
