Facial tissues are folded so that when stacked in a dispensing pack 10, tab portions, e.g. a single ply portion 6a and a double ply tab 6, are each accessible through a dispensing aperture e.g. 12 so that each tissue may be withdrawn from the pack in either single or double ply form. In a modified form (Fig. 9) the tissue has three tabs 228, 230, 232. Tabs 228 and 230 being accessible through a top opening of the pack to enable each tissue to be withdrawn in folded or opened out form respectively. The third tap 232 is accessible through a bottom opening to allow withdrawal in opened out form. In further modifications, the tab 230 is dispensed with or is folded about an edge 246 to lie between the portions 240, 244. The carton openings may be formed by tearing out panels defined by perforations.
