Abstract

917,049. Dispensing receptacles. SCOTT PAPER CO. Feb. 13, 1961, No. 5293/61. Class 18. A cardboard carton for continuous dispensing of tissue sheets comprises a cover 7 provided with an opening 8, produced by the removal of a knock-out panel (not shown), and a cardboard discharge plate 14 provided with a slot-like aperture 16 and an enlarged central portion 17 to facilitate access to the uppermost sheet 11 in starting the dispensing action. The plate rests on the uppermost sheet and is movable therewith so as to establish a continuous frictional engagement between the contacting surfaces of successive interfolded sheets. The plate ensures that the trailing edge of a withdrawn sheet causes the leading edge of the succeeding sheet to project through the aperture 16.
