612,231. Enclosing paper in boxes. LUNDBERG, J. O. May 20, 1946, No. 15234. [Classes 18 and 94 (i)] A container which when packed with stacked sheets of paper is of rhombic cross-section comprises a front 2, rear wall 5, top 6, and bottom 10 and has open sides. As the sheets are withdrawn through an opening 3 the container collapses thus holding the sheets together. Stop bands I prevent the sheets falling out of the open sides. The ends of the bands are folded round the edges of the opening 3 and of slots in the rear wall. As the container collapses the bands slide down the slots and down the V-shape opening 3. The corners of the bands may be rounded to facilitate the sliding movement. Alternatively the edges of the container may be cut and clipped together. The rear wall and top may have extensions 7, 8, which are clipped together and by which the container may be suspended. The corners of the container may be rounded as indicated by the dotted lines. In an alternative construction the last sheet of paper may project through a slot in the rear wall to assist in holding the pile in position.
