958,847. Heat insulation. GOTAVERKEN A.B. Jan. 31, 1962, No. 3713/62. Heading F2X. [Also in Division B7] Insulating material 3, for example in the form of carpets of porous material, is attached to a wall 1, e.g. a bulkhead plate of a ship, by a plurality of studs 2 welded to the wall, each stud having a shoulder 5 thereon at a distance from the wall approximately corresponding to the thickness of insulation and having a disc 6 made of insulating material, e.g. plastic, positioned against the shoulder, a sheet metal or plastic plate 10 being provided having holes which fit over locating guides on the discs 6, the plate 10 being retained by discs 11 of insulating material which engage the respective projecting ends of the studs. Each of the discs 11 has a plurality of tabs which grip the projecting end of the corresponding stud to prevent withdrawal of the disc 11, the latter also having a bulbous edge which is pressed into sealing engagement with the plate 10. Wooden battens may be attached to the wall 1 by the studs 2. ______
