958, 441. Photographic colour materials. ADOX FOTOWERKE DR.C.SCHLEUSSNER G.m.b.H. June 22,1962 [June 24,1961], No. 24206/62. Heading G2C. Photographic colour couplers are incorporated into gelatine silver halide emulsions by first dissolving them in a fatty acid glyceride and then adding the dispersion to the emulsion. The preferred glycerides are natural fats such as pork fat. In an example, 1 -naphthol-2-carboxylic acid actadecylamide is dissolved in refined pork fat at 50‹C. and emulsified in aqueous gelatine with the aid of a dispersing agent. The dispersion so produced is mixed with a silver halide gelatino emulsion. The glycerides may,be used in combination with a highboiling solvent and a low-boiling auxiliary solvent as described in Specification 791,353. Specifications 541,514 and 633,812 also are referred to.
